Coca-Cola Freestyle launched Share a Coke on Freestyle, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven, interactive experience available at participating customer locations. The program encourages guests to generate custom mixes tied to a friend’s personality and share them via text — deepening engagement and driving trial across the Freestyle footprint. As personalization expectations grow, Freestyle’s latest tech innovation that’s rolling out at a national scale for the first time as part of the Share a Coke campaign delivers a differentiated, tech-forward way to connect with consumers and drive visits. The launch will continue through June 2.

To create the mix, users will open their smartphone’s camera and scan the Share a Coke QR code on the Freestyle touchscreen to instantly connect — no app or login needed. They will select a name from over 1,000 options or a fun nickname to appear on the digital cup. They will decorate it with stickers that best describe them, from “funny” and “kind” to “creative” and “cute.” Next, they’ll press “Generate Mix” and let Freestyle’s AI-powered recipe generator create a unique, one-of-one drink mix. They can pour it fresh to taste their creation or text the mix to a friend so they can redeem their mix and sip along at their closest Freestyle location.

To redeem a mix, users can click the link in their text to automatically open Share a Coke and scan the Share a Coke QR code on the Freestyle touchscreen. The mix will appear instantly with the pressing of the pour button on their phone. A second option is to scan the Share a Coke QR code on any Freestyle dispenser, tap “Enter Code” and type the code they received via text.
