Pete’s Corp. of Erie raised $100,000 in 2024 for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, reported The Chanute Tribune.

CASA promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy in support of children who are in need of a safe and permanent home.

Pete’s raised money for its local CASA programs in Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri, The Chanute Tribune said. The 31st Judicial District, which includes Wilson, Neosho, Woodson and Allen counties, were given $71,308.53.

Further, Pete’s employees and CASA representatives met for an awards presentation and fundraiser recap, an event that also allowed Pete’s to hold its Q4 managers meeting.

At the awards ceremony, first place for highest dollar amount raised went to Tracey Cook, manager of the Pete’s in Humboldt, Kansas, which raised $14,926.70. Second place went to Carthage, Mo.’s Pete’s, which raised $5,408.29. Third place went to a Pittsburg, Kansas, Pete’s that raised $4,958.40.

The second set of awards calculated the money raised by the percentage of sales, the Tribune continued. The new Pete’s in Altamont, Kansas, took third place, raising $1,654.33. Second place went to Pete’s in Frontenac, Kansas, ($2,968.57) and first to Pete’s in Baxter Springs, Kansas ($4,029.22).

A few more awards were given out, along with the CASA checks from the fundraiser.
