“These travel centers will serve the community through products and services as well as contribute to the local economy through jobs and tax revenue,” says Pilot Flying J CEO.

Pilot Flying J has acquired two new Pilot Travel Center locations in Pennsylvania: one in Duncannon and one in Frystown. Both locations will be remodeled to feature full amenities for professional drivers and the motoring public.

The Duncannon travel center is located at 30 Benvenue Ave. at U.S. Highways 22 and 322. The 8,520-square-foot travel center will feature six fuel islands and seven diesel islands.

The Frystown travel center is located 2210 Camp Swatara Road along Rte. 645 at Exit 10 off Interstate 78. The 12,500-square-foot travel center will feature four fuel islands, 11 diesel islands and one RV island.

Both Pilot Travel Center locations will feature DEF at the pump, high-speed fuel pumps that provide faster flow so customers can refuel quickly and a wide variety of convenience items.

“We hope that Duncannon and Frystown area residents and fleet customers alike will enjoy the convenience and amenities of our new Pilot Travel Centers,” said Jimmy Haslam, president and CEO of Pilot Flying J. “These travel centers will serve the community through products and services as well as contribute to the local economy through jobs and tax revenue. And, we’ll fill the needs of those carrying goods to communities across the nation.”

The Pilot Travel Centers in Duncannon and Frystown are part of the network of more than 550 travel centers and travel plazas in the Pilot Flying J family, which serves more than 1.3 million customers every day across the U.S. and Canada.

Both Pennsylvania locations will include clean restrooms; vending machines; pay phones; fax and copy services; Western Union; an ATM; lottery and Lotto tickets; an arcade; and general merchandise for professional drivers and highway travelers.

“We believe our familiar Pilot sign will be a welcome sight for interstate travelers and professional drivers. They’ll want to pull off to fill up, refresh and sample some of our featured food items like Oscar Mayer hot dogs,” said Ken Garber, general manager for the Duncannon location.

“Our premium hot beverages include gourmet specialty coffees from all over the world as well as Pilot’s house coffee which was named the ‘Best Coffee on the Interstate’ by the readers of Truckers News,” added Jason Kahle, general manager for the Frystown location. We also have a variety of fountain drinks, frozen drinks, fresh brewed tea and cappuccino.”

In addition to diesel fuel, professional drivers have access to such services as DEF at the pump, a CAT scale and laundry services. The Duncannon travel center will feature five automated showers and 65 parking spaces for trucks, and the Frystown location will feature eight automated showers and 200 parking spaces. Both locations also feature driver services such as Transflo and Trip Pak, so professional drivers can get in and out of the store quickly and be on their way.

The Frystown location will be able to provide full service to RV customers in late spring 2012.

As with all other Pilot Flying J locations, the Duncannon and Frystown Pilot Travel Center locations honors the new Frequent Fueler Advantage card and continues to honor points accumulated on the Frequent Fueler, RV Real Value Card and Driver Payback cards. Pilot and Flying J merged last year, and both brands are still available on U.S. highways.
