Travel centers in Haines City, Fla., and Morgantown, W.Va., welcome customers.

Pilot has opened two new travel centers with full amenities for professional drivers and the motoring public.

The new sites are located  at 2309 Smithtown Rd. in Morgantown, W. Va., off Interstate 79 at Exit 146, and at 35647 U.S. Highway 27 North in Haines City, Fla.

The two travel centers mark the newest additions to the network of more than 550 travel centers and travel plazas in the Pilot Flying J family, which serves more than 1.3 million customers every day across the U.S. and Canada.

West Virginia Location
The new, 7,662-square-foot center in Morgantown, W., Va., features three fuel islands and seven diesel islands along with a wide variety of convenience items. The new facility features high-speed fuel pumps that provide faster flow so customers can refuel quickly.

“We hope that Morgantown area residents and fleet customers will enjoy the convenient location of our new Pilot Travel Center,” said Jimmy Haslam, president and CEO of Pilot Flying J. “The center will serve this community through products and services as well as contribute to the local economy through jobs and tax revenue. And, we’ll fill the needs of those carrying goods to communities across the nation.”

The Morgantown travel center includes Carvel Ice Cream; Cinnabon; clean restrooms; pay phones; fax and copy services; Western Union; an ATM; lottery and Lotto tickets; an arcade area; and general merchandise for professional drivers and highway travelers.

“We believe our familiar Pilot sign will be a welcome sight for interstate travelers and professional drivers. They’ll want to pull off to fill up, refresh and sample some of our featured food items,” said Nick Lafountaine, general manager for the Morgantown location. “Our premium hot beverages include gourmet specialty coffees from all over the world as well as Pilot’s house coffee which was named the ‘Best Coffee on the Interstate’ by the readers of Truckers News. We also have a variety of fountain drinks, fresh brewed tea, iced coffees, frozen drinks and milkshakes.”

The Morgantown Pilot Travel Center features a full hot and cold deli featuring fresh-made salads, double bacon cheeseburgers and Pepperoni’s handmade Italian pizza as well as an expanded grill area with Oscar Mayer hot dogs.

In addition to diesel fuel, professional drivers will have access to such services as Pegasus, a CAT scale, laundry services, five automated showers and 46 parking spaces for trucks. The Morgantown location also features a driver kiosk, so professional drivers can get in and out of the store quickly and be on their way.
