“Quick Chek’s true mission and core values revolve around operating as an outstanding place to work,” says vp of human resources.

Quick Chek, which operates more than 125 food store locations throughout New Jersey and the southern NQuick Chek Convenience Storeew York metro area, has been named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey for the second consecutive year by NJBiz, a New Jersey business publication.

The weekly business journal’s Best Places to Work survey and award program was designed to identify and honor the best places of employment in New Jersey, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program is made up of 55 companies split into two groups: 30 medium-sized companies (25-249 employees) and 25 large-sized companies (250 employees or more). Quick Chek has been named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey in the large category and will be honored during an awards ceremony on April 26.

“Quick Chek’s true mission and core values revolve around operating as an outstanding place to work,” said Bob Graczyk, vice president of human resources, Quick Chek. “We pride ourselves in creating an environment where our team members not only enjoy their work, but also like the people they work with and the customers they serve. Becoming one of NJBiz’s Best Places to Work in N.J. for the second consecutive year validates this commitment to our employees as we continue to provide our customers with fresh food choices, outstanding coffee and a dedicated, friendly staff of customer service representatives”

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 55 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics—which constituted about 25% of the total evaluation. The second phase of the evaluation consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience—worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, as well as analyzed the data provided and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
