Ruiz Foods, the nation’s largest frozen Mexican food manufacturer and maker of the El Monterey brand, has been ranked first among the Top 10 Hispanic-owned manufacturing companies in California, according to Hispanic Business Magazine, the publication that oversees the rankings.

The magazine also ranked the company third among the Top 500 U.S. Hispanic-owned manufacturing companies in the U.S. and 16th among the country’s Top 500 Hispanic-owned businesses.

Ruiz Foods is a privately owned corporation headquartered in Dinuba, Calif. Representing the third generation of family ownership, Bryce Ruiz and Kim Ruiz Beck, vice chairman of the company, are both children of cofounder Fred Ruiz, the company’s chairman and CEO.

The company sells premium-quality, authentically prepared frozen Mexican foods to all segments of retail and foodservice channels. The signature brand, El Monterey, is the market leader in the frozen Mexican food category.
