“The Register, Scan and Win Sweepstakes is another way for us to show our appreciation to our loyal customers by rewarding them with great prizes,” says Rutter’s spokesperson.

Rutter’s Farm Stores customers that are Rutter’s Rewards cardholders learned this week if their loyalty to Rutter’s paid off more than usual: the February winners in the York-Pa.-based chain’s Register, Scan and Win Sweepstakes were announced.

“I’m in the store two or three times a day getting coffee,” said Pat Richards of New Cumberland and winner, conveniently, of free coffee for a year.

Rutter’s Farm Stores awarded more than 900 prizes in the February drawing, and will continue to do so through the end of 2011.

Winners enjoyed a number of diverse prizes. Chad Donley of Brogue and John Lacesa of York both won free gas for a month, while Karen Lundy took a 47-inch  flat screen TV back home to Mechanicsburg, Pa.  Other prizes handed out in February included free breakfast sandwich coupons, free large coffee coupons, free soup for the season, free coffee for a year,  $10 Rutter’s gift cards, and $1 added to the balance of the winner’s Rutter’s Rewards cards.

The latter is a particularly valuable prize, as gas prices in the area continue to rise. “The benefit to being a registered Rutter’s Reward card user has always been the savings our customers can earn and redeem as cents off per gallon at the pump without having to spend $50 or $100 like some other programs require,” said Jeff Leedy, senior vice president of marketing for Rutter’s. “The Register, Scan and Win Sweepstakes is another way for us to show our appreciation to our loyal customers by rewarding them with great prizes.”

Rutter’s Rewards cards, which are free at any Rutter’s Farm Store, can be registered at www.ruttersrewards.com.  Details about the Rutter’s Rewards mobile app for smart phone users can be found at the site also. Mobile app users are able to view their rewards balance, receive digital coupons for great values at Rutter’s Farm Stores, as well as check gas prices in real time from their mobile device.

Rutter’s Farm Stores operates 55 convenience stores in Pennsylvania.
