New location to offer 12 gas fueling spaces, an espresso bar and free Wi-Fi.

Rutter’s Farm Stores recently broke ground on its largest store to date in Mountville, Pa., the 58th store for the central Pennsylvania-based chain.

The 6,280-square-foot store will offer the extensive menu that earned Rutter’s recognition for Best Coffee, Best Quick Service Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner categories in the York Newspaper’s 2012 Best of York reader’s poll.

Rutter’s locally-sourced milk, voted No. 1 in the Best of York poll for 10 years straight, will now be available to customers in Mountville, Pa. 24 hours a day. Additionally, the store will boast an espresso bar, 12 gas fueling spaces and five high-speed truck diesel fueling spots, as well as seating for 20 and free Wi-Fi.

The new store will open in late June and is expected to create 40 new jobs.

Rutter’s can trace its central Pennsylvania roots back to 1747, when William Penn’s grandson deeded farmland in York County to the Rutter family. Today, Rutter’s is the oldest vertically-integrated food company in the U.S. and operates under the family’s third generation of leadership with Scott Hartman as president and CEO, Todd Rutter as president of Rutter’s Dairy and Tim Rutter as president of M&G Realty.
