Fourth winner awarded free gas for three years in giveaway.

Thanks to Rutter’s Farm Stores “Fuel Up For Free” giveaway, Steve Slyder is taking his family on a vacation to West Virginia in October, and he’ll definitely be stopping at a few units of the York, Pa.-based chain on his way out of town.

Slyder is the fourth and final winner in “Fuel Up Free!” gas giveaway. Slyder and the others won free gas for three years–their prizes collectively worth $25,823.25. Slyder, a resident of York Township, York County, estimated that he entered the giveaway 20 times, each one at the same local store.

The three previous winners, all from York County, Pa., were Mary Wherley of Wrightsville, Jennifer Anderson of Newberry Township, and Chad Marsteller of Shrewsbury.

“Fuel Up Free!” ran from May 28 to Aug. 26. Each week, Rutter’s offered food or beverage specials. With each purchase of a special, customers received an entry form. The more specials customers purchased, the more chances they had to win. New for 2007, customers also could obtain an entry blank by showing an M&T Bank ATM receipt to a Rutter’s clerk. Rutter’s offers no-surcharge M&T ATMs in each of its stores.
