Chain awards third winner in “Fuel Up Free” Sweepstakes.

York, Pa.-based Rutter’s Farms Stores has awarded a third “Fuel Up Free” winner. This time it’s Chad Marsteller of Shrewbury, Pa.

Chad plans to share his newfound wealth—free gas for three years.

“Friends, family, myself,” he said when describing who will benefit from his being selected as the third grand-prize winner in Rutter’s gas giveaway. Marsteller’s prize has a value of $6,246.59.

Marsteller said he entered the contest four or five times during his morning stops for coffee.

“Fuel Up Free!” began May 28 and runs through Aug. 26. Four customers will win free gas for three years, with the lone remaining grand prize drawing scheduled for Sept. 11. The first two winners were Mary Wherley of Wrightsville and Jennifer Anderson of Newberry Township, both in York County, Pa.

New for 2007, customers can also obtain an entry blank by showing an M&T Bank ATM receipt to a Rutter’s clerk. Rutter’s offers no-surcharge M&T ATMs in each of its stores.
