Donates to local charities as part of the grand opening celebration of its West Virginia c-store.
Rutter’s hosted the Grand Opening of its newest and first Virginia c-store in Inwood, W.Va on Wednesday, June 27. Rutter’s donated $3,000 to local charities during the ribbon cutting ceremony, each receiving $1,000.
Recipients were the South Berkeley Volunteer Fire Company, Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department, and Our Military Kids, which supports children of deployed National Guard and Reserve service members by providing grants for activities to help cope with stress and anxiety.
The opening of this store marked Rutter’s first store outside of Pennsylvania and its 70th store. This is the first new Rutter’s opened this year. Attendees at the Inwood Rutter’s Grand Opening included Cris Hewett (US Senator Joe Manchin’s Case Manager) and Rainer Kissel (Congressman Alex Mooney’s District Representative).
“We were really looking forward to our first grand opening outside of our home state. This was a great turnout and we were honored to be able to donate to some charitable organizations in a new community. We are excited to see where this store will take us,” said Robert Perkins, vice president of marketing.
