The location features the retailer's new bar and gaming lounge concept.

Rutter’s has opened its 90th location, and the largest in its store network. Situated in Milton, Pa., the 14,000-square-foot site is designed to provide “the ultimate customer experience,” the retailer noted in a statement.

Rutter’s is introducing its second on-site bar and gaming lounge, including five video gaming terminals (VGTs). The space will offer 75 alcoholic beverage options, plus exclusive bundle deals and access to Rutter’s renowned foodservice menu.

The site will feature 20 65-inch high-definition TVs, in addition to three real-time sports tickers and its five VGTs.

“Open 24/7, the newest Rutter’s location offers the brand’s best-in-class food menu, boasting billions of customizable made-for-you combinations along with exclusive VIP Rewards deals for loyal customers,” the statement continued.

It also features 12 auto-fueling positions, serving Rutter’s Top Tier Certified gasoline options, as well as five commercial fueling lanes with Premium Diesel and In-Lane DEF, and over 40 commercial parking spaces.

Rutter’s will be supporting the Milton community by employing 50 new team members, with starting wages at $18 per hour.

In celebration of the new store opening, Rutter’s Children’s Charities will donate $1,000 to The Salvation Army- Youth Programs/Camp Ladore, CWC Food Pantry, and the Milton Volunteer Fire Department, reinforcing the company’s commitment to giving back.

The Concept Comes to Life
Rutter’s first announced this unique c-store concept in March, when it opened its first site under the new format in Johnstown, Pa.

The Johnstown site features many of the same amenities that can be found at its Milton location, including five VGTs, 20 TVs and three real-time sports tickers. The site came in at 11,000-square-feet — still larger than the retailer’s typical 3,000-7,000-square-foot stores, but 3,000 square feet smaller than its newest.

“Rutter’s is redefining its typical convenience store by introducing a full bar and lounge, including five VGTs,” the retailer noted in its March statement. “This 21-plus space will offer nearly 75 alcoholic beverage options, including canned cocktails, beer and wine, plus exclusive bundle deals and access to Rutter’s award-winning foodservice menu.”

In addition to its new bar and lounge c-store concept, Rutter’s doubled down in April by debuting its sixth proprietary beer offering — the Rainy Daze IPA — made in collaboration with Rusty Rail Brewing Co.

“Rutter’s thrives on bringing new and exciting offerings to our customers,” said Adam Long, senior category manager. “This flavorful hazy IPA continues a long line of specialty beers crafted carefully just for them.”

Today, Rutter’s operates 90 locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia. Part of a family-managed group of companies, the Rutter’s Companies include a chain of convenience stores, a dairy and beverage company, a real estate company and a children’s charity.
