Over the past month, Supervalu’s hard-discount grocery banner, Save-A-Lot, has opened 13 new stores across eight states—its latest last week in Rockford, Ill.
The banner’s newest stores, according to company officials, focus on fresh, with a “commitment to bring “fresh produce, dairy and meats” to their communities.
The new stores are a combination of corporate-owned and licensed locations. They are located at:

- 401 S. Main Street in Kewanee, Ill.
- 6758 Winchester Road in Memphis, Tenn.
- 801 Black River Road in Rome, N. Y.
- 6820 N. University Drive in Tamarac, Fla.
