The designation comes just weeks after it was named to Fortune's list of 100 Best Companies to Work For.

The Sheetz made-to-order (MTO) menu has been voted the “Coolest Thing Made in PA” for 2025 by Pennsylvania Chamber voters, edging out the iconic Crayola Crayons in the final round to take home the title.

“We are honored and so grateful to be named the ‘Coolest Thing in Pennsylvania,’” said Sheetz Executive Vice President of Marketing and Supply Chain Ryan Sheetz.  “Our MTOs have been fueling Sheetz Runs for almost 40 years across the Commonwealth bringing value, customization and variety to Sheetz Freakz everywhere — 24/7/365.”

This year’s contest generated more than 65,000 votes in the PA Chamber’s X, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn pages, and amassed more than 500,000 social media impressions, according to a statement from the PA Chamber.

“From our public bracket unveiling in March to reveling in the close matchups over these last several weeks and seeing the voters weigh in, this year’s contest wasn’t only fun but again showcased Pennsylvania’s excellence in manufacturing, consumer engagement and brand loyalty,” said PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein. “We love hosting this annual contest to remind people how many incredible products are made here and beloved across the Commonwealth, the nation and worldwide. Congratulations to Sheetz on their well-deserved victory.”

The competition, which was sponsored by EXIM Bank, featured 64 teams across various industries, in every region of the Commonwealth. Nominees were determined following months of public input.

Collecting Accolades
This designation comes just weeks after Sheetz received its 10th consecutive nod on Fortune’s list of 100 Best Companies to Work For. The retailer ranked as No. 40 on this year’s list, and was the only c-store chain to be featured.

The list, now in its 28th year, recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures and high employee satisfaction.

“We do not take this honor lightly, as being named to this prominent workplace list for 10 straight years reflects our commitment to our employees,” said Travis Sheetz, president and CEO of Sheetz. “As a family-owned and -operated company, the success and well-being of our team members have always been our top priority. They are the face of our brand in every community we serve, and we remain dedicated to providing them with fulfilling careers built on a culture of respect and a shared purpose of caring for people.”

Also ranking second in the most recent Best Workplaces in Retail list by Fortune, Sheetz offers competitive pay and benefits packages to all employees, including medical and dental insurance, 12-week fully paid maternity leave, a 401(k) retirement plan, college tuition reimbursement, an employee stock ownership plan, flexible schedules, opportunities for advancement, quarterly bonuses, vacation time and more.

These recognitions occur at a pivotal time for Sheetz, as it continues its rapid expansion west. Sheetz opened its first-ever store in Michigan last year and recently began construction on its second store in the Detroit metro area. The retailer plans to continue this momentum with groundbreakings of more than a dozen Detroit metro locations later this year and into 2026, and remains on track to open 50-60 locations in southeast Michigan over the next five to six years.
