Altoona, Pa.-based Sheetz continues to expand with the opening of its first new store in Woodward Township, near Jersey Shore.

“We are very excited to be opening another store in Lycoming County,” said Stan Sheetz, president and CEO, Sheetz Inc. “Our stores in nearby Williamsport do very well and customers there have been very loyal.  We can’t wait to begin serving a new group of people in Jersey Shore.”

The new store is located at 7775 North Route 220. Doors officially open to customers this afternoon, June 3, when employees will host a grand opening celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:00 p.m.

The 5,000 square-foot facility will offer fresh food items like the MTGo! and Shweetz Bakery lines of sandwiches, wraps, donuts and muffins, along with the signature MTO line of Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, French fries, onion rings and more.

Also available is Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista where customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas-hot, frozen or iced.

“Sheetz has a legacy of innovation, customer focus and employee development,” Sheetz said.  “The company’s mission today is on meeting the needs of customers on the go by providing fast and friendly service, quality products in clean and convenient locations.”

Sheetz has a tradition of giving back to the communities in which it operates and strives to find ways to be involved with today’s young people. As part of today’s celebration, the company will make a donation to Special Olympics of Pennsylvania. Sheetz has been a supporter of Special Olympics since 1992, making monetary and product contributions as well as providing event volunteers.
