Altoona, Penn.-based Sheetz Inc. opened its 350th store this week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a generous donation to a local park authority to fund maintenance and upkeep on soccer and baseball fields in the community near the new store.

The Sheetz c-store in Dillsburg, Penn., brings the company’s presence in that state to 199 overall, but 350 across its entire portfolio.

A longtime supporter of community causes and youth activities, Sheetz marked its Dillsburg grand opening by making a donation to the Logan Park Authority, which will use the donated funds to help maintain their soccer and little league baseball fields.

"Being able to open our 350th store is exciting for us,” said Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing for Sheetz. “We’ve been in business here for many years and we’re happy to reach this milestone in York County. Sheetz also has a long tradition of being involved in youth-centered activities, so today we are happy to make a commitment to support the athletic programs that benefit the children of this community."

Sheetz offers an extensive menu of MTO (Made-To-Order) subs, sandwiches and salads as part of its foodservice program, and its new store will feature cold and toasted subs, a variety of salads, as well as French fries, onion rings, chicken fingers, burgers and more. The products are made fresh to order and customized.

The new store will also feature Sheetz Bros. Coffeez, a full-service espresso and smoothie bar staffed by a trained barista where customers can order hand-made specialty coffee drinks including lattes, cappuccinos and hot, frozen or iced mochas.

Frozen fruit smoothies round out the chain’s specialty drink menu. For those who prefer to pour their own, Sheetz offers premium brewed self-serve coffees made from 100% Arabica beans in a variety of flavors such as Breakfast Blend, Serious Dark Roast, 100% Colombian and Hazelnut.

Sheetz customers can place their food and specialty coffee orders at touch-screen order kiosks, while the company also offers a surcharge-free ATM and a variety of retailer gift and phone cards.
