“It takes vision and confidence in your strategy” to be a Golden Chain Award winner, says Randall Friedman of Nation’s Restaurant News.

Sheetz President and CEO Stan Sheetz has been honored and named a 2012 Golden Chain Award winner by Nation’s Restaurant News for demonstrating overall business performance and growth.

Sheetz will be presented the award at the 53rd annual Multi-Unit Foodservice Operators Conference on Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 in Dallas. Randall Friedman, publisher of Nation’s Restaurant News, said that the 2012 Golden Chain winners have confidence to make it through challenging economic times. Sheetz was honored particularly for its continued revenue growth and unit expansion.

“We continue to open new locations in our six-state footprint, and our sales and revenue continue to be strong,” Sheetz said. “I believe what has contributed most to our success is the team of very smart and talented people all across our organization who fully embrace the Sheetz business philosophy of providing quality products and exceptional customer service.”

Stan Sheetz is in the running to be named the Nation’s Restaurant News Operator of the Year. The recipient of that honor will be named at the upcoming Dallas conference.
