In Pennsylvania, the West Pennsboro Township Board of Supervisors has voted unanimously to approve a land development plan for a local Sheetz convenience store, the Sentinel reported.
The new store will measure 5,000-square-feet and will feature six gas pumps, including a diesel pump for automobile use.
Tractor trailer trucks, however, will need to find another place to pump gas. “We’re not trying to encourage large vehicles to come to this site and stay at this site,” noted Jim Snyder, of Snyder, Secary and Associates LLC., a consultant hired by Sheetz told the Sentinel. “They don’t want to be a truck stop.”
Sheetz has reportedly obtained the necessary zoning relief to build at the site already, and has permission to connect the store to the township’s sewer system.
