The chain partnered with Folds of Honor to support families of fallen and disabled veterans and first responders.

Sinclair Oil, an HF Sinclair brand, raised $662,670 during its winter 2024 Fueling Folds of Honor campaign. For the third consecutive year, Sinclair dealers and distributors, as well as HF Sinclair employees, raised significant funds for scholarship programs in support of American families of fallen and disabled veterans and first responders.

Folds of Honor, a national nonprofit organization celebrated for its commitment to education, has been Sinclair’s partner in this endeavor and is distributing the scholarship funds in local communities close to participating Sinclair stations.

“We are deeply grateful to Sinclair for their unwavering support through the 2024 Fueling Folds of Honor campaign,” said Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. “Their generosity makes everything we do at Folds of Honor possible, and we couldn’t accomplish our mission without the help of these incredible patriots. Together, we’re fueling change and taking care of our military and first responder families.”

Since 2022, when its partnership with Folds of Honor first began, Sinclair has raised $2.1 million through designated fill-ups and donations at participating independent Sinclair-branded stations. To contribute to the fundraiser, customers could fill up at participating stations or purchase special Fueling Folds of Honor merchandise — a portion of proceeds went toward the cause for every gallon and item sold — or stations could make a direct donation. The 2024 campaign ran for 50 days, from Nov. 11, 2024, through December 2024.

“Teamwork is a core value at HF Sinclair, and Folds of Honor is one way we pull together to show that our combined efforts can and do make a lasting difference,” said Fergie Theriault, VP of branded marketing for HF Sinclair. “We thank all of our distributors, partners and customers who rallied with us to fund another year of education and realized dreams; together, we are providing funding for 124 scholarships in 2025.”

Sinclair’s Fueling Folds of Honor campaign is one of several ways that parent company HF Sinclair supports veteran families. Others include participating in Carry The Load and supporting the National Cemetery Administration in honor of Patriot Day and National Day of Remembrance.

Recognized for its iconic dinosaur, there are more than 1,300 Sinclair-branded wholesale stations throughout the country and 300 additional branded licensed locations. DINOPAY is an app-based payment system that allows users to pay for fuel and in-store items with their mobile device, track receipts, utilize fuel discounts and locate the nearest Sinclair location.
