C-store retailers gather in Fort Worth, Texas to check out the latest innovations in convenience retailing.

The Southwest Fuel & Convenience Expo drew convenience store retailers to the Fort Worth Convention Center & Omni Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas, May 14-16, for a look at some of the newest products and services available to the convenience store industry.

A kick-off party on May 14 included Las Vegas-style games, cocktails and networking opportunities at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel.

Educational Sessions & Expo
New this year, the expo modified its learning labs to offer 14 educational sessions in “30-minute quick hit educational presentations.”

Attendees had the option to grab a headset and tune into the channel at the time of the session to listen to the presentation. Educational sessions included topics such as financing and merger and acquisition activity; using the internet of things to monitor food safety;  top issues and trends impacting retailers now and in the next five years; CBD outlook in Texas; among others.

On the show floor, booths featured the latest in fuel, food, equipment and technology as it pertains to convenience retailing. This year’s show also welcomed around 40 new exhibitors.
