Speedway customers and employees raised more than $68 Million for the charity since 1991.

Through generous donations from its customers, vendors and employees, Speedway LLC contributed more than $8 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2014, bringing the company’s total fundraising to more than $68 million since 1991. Donations in 2014 increased more than 5% over the previous year.

“This record in giving is a testament to the generosity of our customers and business partners as well as the passion of our employees for this worthwhile cause,” said Speedway President Tony Kenney. “At Speedway, we are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our customers and the communities in which we are privileged to operate. We are honored that we can do so through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and help the children in our own backyards.”

A corporate partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1991, Speedway has raised more than $68 million for the charity through a variety of initiatives.

Programs include canister and icon campaigns, bowl-a-thons and employee payroll deduction programs. Speedway also hosts the largest single-day golf fundraising event, which raised more than $1.4 million in 2014, for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Each of these activities contribute to Speedway’s support for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in their communities. Each year, the company identifies a Speedway Miracle Child whose story helps tell why children’s hospitals rely on donations to fund critical treatments and services for kids.

“We are grateful for the support Speedway customers, employees and vendors have shown us over the past 24 years,” said John Lauck, president and CEO, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “We are thrilled to be working with a company that embraces our mission to provide the best care for kids in our communities. We look forward to many more years of working together.”

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that treat more than 10 million kids each year. A donation made at a local Speedway directly supports the member hospital in that community.

Speedway LLC (Speedway), headquartered in Enon, Ohio, is the nation’s second largest company-owned and -operated convenience store chain with approximately 2,750 stores located in 22 states.
