Donations up 5% over 2011.

Through generous donations from its customers, vendors and employees, Speedway LLC contributed $6.4 million to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2012, propelling the company’s total fundraising to more than $53 million since 1991.

Donations in 2012 were up 5% over the previous year and benefitted 17 member children’s hospitals.

“Crossing the $50 million mark in funds raised is a remarkable achievement,” said John Lauck, president and CEO, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “We congratulate Speedway and recognize them for their commitment to help kids in their own communities. Because of Speedway’s generous support, our member hospitals are able to provide the expert and tender care their young patients so desperately need.”

“It is a tremendous honor to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” commented Speedway President Tony Kenney. “This milestone is a testament to the generosity of our customers and vendor partners that is fueled by the dedication of our employees to this effort.  Helping to provide care for so many children and their families is something near and dear to the heart of every employee here at Speedway.”

A corporate partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1991, Speedway has raised more than $53 million for the charity through a variety of initiatives. Turnkey programs including canister campaigns, grassroots fundraising activities, employee payroll deduction programs and an annual corporate golf tournament have all contributed to Speedway’s ability to support the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in their communities.
