The SPINX Co. Inc., Greenville, S.C., has introduced the Gilbarco Passport point-of-sale (POS) system to 28 locations in North and South Carolina.

“We chose Passport because of its superior user interface and service compared to our old POS system; and because of its outstanding new features, like third-party integration with our back office via NXML, e-signs, and coin dispensers,” said company President and founder Stewart Spinks. “We also like the way Passport’s roadmap for PCI PA-DSS compliance structures value-added POS functions separately from compliance requirements.”

Currently, more than 5,000 Gilbarco Passport systems have been installed in North America. The point of sale system provides a highly intuitive touchscreen interface that minimizes training time, errors and shrinkage. It provides seamless connectivity and standardization, powerful business information and security features, sophisticated business growth tools and easy expandability. Passport is approved on all major networks to benefit multi-branded retailers.

The new system will also be on display at the NACStech show in Grapevine, Texas from May 18-20.
