Sprint Mart has shared progress on its rebuilt travel center in Fulton, Miss. The previous location, situated just off of Highway 22, was officially demolished on May 19, revealing the brand-new facility that was under construction behind the old store.
This innovative strategy allowed Sprint Mart to minimize disruption while ensuring a seamless transition to a significantly upgraded travel center. The new facility offers an enhanced experience for both the local Fulton community and the countless over-the-road truckers traversing Highway 22.
The new Sprint Mart travel center will boast an impressive 14,000 square feet of interior space, designed to provide a spacious and comfortable environment for customers. Outside, the plaza will feature 32 gas pumps and six high-flow diesel fueling lanes and expansive trucker parking.
“We are incredibly excited about the transformation of our Fulton location,” said Herb Hargraves, chief operating officer of Victory Marketing. “Our goal with this project was to create a modern, efficient and welcoming travel center that truly meets the needs of our customers. With expanded interior space and an abundance of fueling options, we believe this new store will be a vital resource for the community and for travelers.”
“This new Fulton travel center exemplifies Sprint Mart’s dedication to continuous improvement and providing top-tier amenities,” the retailer noted in a statement.
The new Sprint Mart travel center is anticipated to open its doors in early fall 2025. Further details regarding the grand opening celebration will be announced closer to the completion date.
Sprint Mart is a family-owned and operated convenience store chain established in 1992 by Charles and Joe Morris of Ridgeland, Miss. In 2000, a joint venture, Victory Marketing, was created between the Morris family and Joe and Rex Gillis of Columbus, Miss. At that time, all Gillis owned Dutch Mart stores were rebranded as Sprint Mart.
Over time, Sprint Mart has grown through a series of acquisitions and new builds. Today, the retailer operates 96 stores throughout Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana.
