Stewart’s Shops, along with the Dake family, has announced a donation of $250,000 to St. Peter’s Health Partners in Albany, N.Y.
“The hospital has done an excellent job providing quality care for its patients, while serving as an economic driver for the region,” the retailer noted in a statement.
St. Peter’s will be using the donation to expand its focus on cardiac and critical care. The donation also will be used to create a nursing scholarship program that identifies current St. Peter’s employees who would be successful candidates to become nurses.
“St. Peter’s focus has made the hospital system a valuable asset for the community,” the statement continued. “We are proud to support their efforts.”
