This is the fourth Stewart's Shop to reopen in Glens Falls, N.Y.

Stewart’s Shops recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 4,500-square-foot shop in donwtown Glens Falls, N.Y.

Located on the corner of Sherman Avenue at 360 Glen St., the rebuilt shop marks a $3.2 million investment in the community.

Over the past five years, Stewart’s has invested more than $10 million in Glens Falls, rebuilding all four shops located within the city.

The chain’s larger Sherman Avenue shop now features more food-to-go options, more ice cream, more groceries, more parking and a larger gas island.

In conjunction with the grand opening, Stewart’s Shops donated $1,500 to the Glens Falls YMCA to help support their summer camp scholarship program.

In addition to opening its new store, the retailer also announced a donation of $275,000 to Hudson Headwaters Health Network.

“The healthcare organization has done an excellent job providing quality care in rural communities throughout upstate New York,” Stewart’s noted in a statement.

Hudson Headwaters used the donation to create a teaching kitchen at its new Salem Family Health Center in Washington County. Located on county Route 64 on the site of a former family farm, the teaching kitchen offers free nutrition classes to patients and community members. The new center and kitchen opened in May.

Hudson Headwaters served 157,000 patients last year across 25 health centers between Glens Falls and the Canadian border, making it a valuable asset for the region.
