The drive-through stores allow customers the convenience of shopping without leaving the comfort of their cars.

Swiss Farms is set to enter the Charlotte, N.C., market this year, as the company begins to roll out its new prototype design in four new market areas.

Mike Lang, president of Lang Family Farms has signed a definitive agreement to open a minimum of five Swiss Farm Stores over the next three years. Lang will break ground on his first store this fall. Several additional sites are under agreement for development by Lang immediately following the first store opening.

Additionally, Swiss has signed a multi-unit agreement with Cariello Family Grocers to open a minimum of six Swiss Farms Stores in the Raleigh, N.C., market.  Swiss Farms has also identified several markets along the Eastern seaboard for future development, noted Rocco Fiorentino, president of Swiss Farms Franchise Co. LLC.

Charlotte and Raleigh are the first of four new markets that will boast the new prototype design, which has won several national design awards and has been extremely successful in creating a true drive-through shopping experience with floor to ceiling glass to allow customers to view the hundreds of grocery items, in addition to freshly prepared meals, baked goods, fresh produce and signature dairy products, Fiorentino said.

Known for its iconic barn and Swiss Silo architecture and décor, Swiss Farms has been a favorite destination in neighborhoods across the Northeast and known by tens of thousands for its friendly service, most convenient way of shopping and quality products. Swiss branded products are available in select grocery stores throughout the Eastern seaboard; and soon available to customers who won’t need to leave their cars to shop at the drive-through stores opening in Charlotte and Raleigh.

Swiss Farms, headquartered in Broomall, Pa,  has been a convenient drive-through grocery retailer since 1968, with 13 locations in Pennsylvania.
