Target withholds details about new grocery-delivery service.

Target Corp. has recently announced that it will soon begin testing a grocery-delivery service. This new service is being explored by a number of retailers, and Target has decided to follow suit. The planned delivery service is a logical next step for Target, after beginning the testing of curbside pickup in San Francisco.

According to a report in the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, Target has not revealed a great deal of information on the new service. In fact, the only information that has been released is that a delivery service is in the works to begin testing, and testing will begin in the near future. It is unclear where customers should expect this service to become available.

Other retailers have chosen areas such as New York, California and the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Whether Target will choose to compete with the delivery services in these areas, or if it will choose an entirely different market, is unclear.
