I read an article stating that most American’s support a higher minimum wage and employer paid health care. The survey should have went on to ask if most American’s would support employer paid vacations, sick leave, transportation cost, home improvement expenditures and peace on earth. Surveys will supply the end results required if the proper questions are asked.

If the survey asked if Americans would support ‘government paid’ health care, sick leave, transportation cost, home improvement expenditures and peace on earth, chances are the same results. I recently had a conversation with a group of grain farmers. They all would support $10 corn and $20 bean prices. Dairy farmers all would support $25 milk prices. The common denominator is, it is common nature to support something you’d like, if someone else is required to pay for it.

The ‘desired’ minimum wage sought by some politicians, is in direct correlation with the elimination of social programs and jobs for the ones needing them most. It is a true case of more will get you less.

Be careful what you ask for.
