TA and Petro Stopping Centers now offer drivers the chance to watch NFL games.
TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel center brands, has expanded its full-service offering to professional drivers with the addition of DIRECTV service at nearly 200 TA and Petro locations.
With DIRECTV, drivers can enjoy the NFL Sunday Ticket channel, where they can sit back and watch NFL football games played on Sundays, as well as Thursday and Monday nights.
TA and Petro full-service restaurants will offer game day menu specials at select locations and will provide a food order and delivery service to the driver’s lounge so that drivers can relax and enjoy the game—just as if they were at home. Select restaurant locations will also host viewing of games in the back rooms of the restaurant on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays and will offer full menu service during the games.
For those drivers who prefer to grab something from the store and head over to the driver’s lounge to watch the game, specials will be offered on fan favorites like hot dogs, nachos and popcorn during select times on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays to coincide with football viewing.
“We respect drivers for the jobs they do—spending long days on the road and weekends away from home,” said Tom O’Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters. “We want drivers to feel at home on the road when they come to TA and Petro locations. Providing them with the DIRECTV service with the NFL games and movies is one more way in which we can give them some of the comforts of home,” he added.
