With the addition of the Gary, Ind. location, U.S. Oil now has 12 new GAIN Clean Fuel stations under construction across the U.S.

U.S. Oil has partnered with Roehl Transport and H.M.D. Trucking on a GAIN Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling Station located along Interstate 80/90 in Gary, Ind., an important east-west freight carrier route in the Midwest.

GAIN is the compressed natural gas division of U.S. Oil.

“This partnership continues our build-out of a nation-wide network of CNG stations,” said Bill Renz, general manager for the GAIN Clean Fuel Division of U.S. Oil. “The Gary station not only gives Roehl Transport a CNG fueling location along a key truck route, it also delivers an economic, clean-fuel alternative for their fleet, consistent with the company’s environmentally-responsible green policy.”

Roehl Transport is a diversified transportation and logistics company providing national and regional customers service through facilities and a fleet of drivers that spans the nation. Roehl is an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certified SmartWay partner, and is committed to the latest fuel‐efficient equipment and operational standards, reducing fleet fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from truck exhaust.

Greg Koepel, vice-president, Roehl Transport, cited the environment and the operational efficiencies of CNG as principal reasons for the partnership. “We’ve made significant investments in our equipment, facilities and training programs to increase our energy efficiencies and decrease our fuel consumption. We see U.S. Oil as a strategic partner in helping us reach our company goals for energy use and conservation.”

With the addition of the Gary, Ind. location, U.S. Oil now has 12 new GAIN Clean Fuel stations under construction across the U.S., meeting the growing demand from companies seeking to take advantage of CNG’s benefits. With space for eight CNG dispensers, the Gary location will be open for use by other companies and the general public, and will be one of the largest CNG stations in the Midwest.

Headquartered in Appleton, Wis., U.S. Oil is a division of U.S. Venture Inc., an energy and transportation products distributor and marketer.
