Two students with Autism set to intern at Danvers c-store location.
VERC Enterprises is teaming with Hopeful Journey Education Center, a private school approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education, which provides a comprehensive education to students ages 3-22 diagnosed with Autism and requiring an individualized curriculum.
VERC Enterprises is a convenience store and Mobil/Gulf gasoline operator with locations throughout eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Two students at Hopeful Journey have been offered internships at the VERC Danvers Gulf, 435 Newbury Street.
“We are extremely excited about our new partnership with VERC Enterprises,” said Korey Ouellette, vocational coordinator with Hopeful Journeys Education Center Inc. “At Hopeful Journeys, we provide our students the most comprehensive educational experience, including vocational job opportunities. Our goal is to provide our students the opportunity to gain skills that will aide them in becoming more independent across a variety of environments as they prepare for adulthood.”
