Voted Best Convenience Store and Best Coffee.
Weigel’s has been voted Best Convenience Store and Best Coffee in the 2017 Best of Knoxville News Sentinel’s Awards. The honor is especially significant as Weigel’s was chosen by its customers and local newspaper readers.
“We are honored and humbled by being voted “The Best” by our customer and readers in these two categories” said Bill Weigel, chairman of Weigel’s. “It’s why we strive to do our very best each day, and to have the very best shopping experience with a friendly smile and heroic customer service.”
Weigel’s top coffee honor is attributed to the wide array of coffee offerings and flavors, including certified organic coffee.
“Coffee is a mainstay of our fast and convenient store business and philosophy,” said Weigel, “so we strive to offer the freshest, best coffee you can get, no matter the time of day. Our first convenience store opened in 1964, and was actually the first convenience store in Knoxville, so we have continued to listen to our customers to be sure we have fast, friendly service with just the right products they want.”
Weigel’s operates 66 convenience stores, a dairy and a bakery, all within a 100-mile radius of corporate headquarters in Powell, Tenn.
