XYIENCE Xenergy, the official energy drink of the UFC, has announced its sponsorship of the 4th edition of the Las Vegas Wheelchair Open. 

The newly named Las Vegas Xenergy Open will bring together some 40 tennis players, ranging in age from 21-72 years old, competing in five divisions at the Darling Tennis Center in the Summerlin are of Las Vegas on Nov. 23-24. 

In addition to a cash donation, XYIENCE will provide the event with its Xenergy + trio of beverage products, including Xenergy + Hydration, Xenergy + Tea and Xenergy + Lemonade.  Each is non-carbonated, zero-calorie, sugar-free and vitamin fortified with all-natural flavors and colors.  Xenergy + Hydration contains no caffeine; Tea and Lemonade offer 10-miligrams of caffeine per ounce.  Positioned as the energy drink of the health club, XYIENCE markets its energy beverages to adults.

Supported by Nevada Tennis, Intermountain Tennis Association and the United States Tennis Association, the well-respected event is designed to bring players together for an opportunity to improve their national rankings. The only wheelchair tennis event in Nevada, it draws competitors from Nevada, California, Arizona, Utah, Idaho and beyond.  The event is part of Keep It Simple – Make It Fun (KISMIF), a non-profit that supports disabled activities for physically disabled athletes.

“Our tournament is the only one in the state that brings together some of the best players on the West Coast,” said Frank Vandekerckhove, tournament director for Las Vegas Wheelchair Tennis. “It is always fun to hang out with disabled athletes with similar active interests, where disability is never mentioned, only the athlete’s performance. Without the financial support of Xyience, a tournament would not be possible.”
