The CStore Momentum conference has long stood as a training ground for the c-store industry’s up-and-coming young executives. Taking place this year from Aug. 19-21, the event will be hosted by Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based Chestnut Market.
On the second day of the conference, attendees will get a chance to participate in one of Momentum’s signature offerings — the burning issue exchange sessions.
From 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, attendees will break into two groups and spend 30 minutes engaging with one of two discussion groups. Later, they’ll get a chance to experience the second discussion group.
Topics include “Shaping Company Culture as a Young Executive” and “Riding the Wave of Change.” Each session will be moderated by an industry executive, with Carmelia Bengochea-Glore, director of HR, Chestnut Market; and Abigail Cerra, director of loyalty, marketing and communications, Chestnut Market, stepping in to lead the discussions.
“Our burning issue exchanges are known as the heart and soul of our events,” said Erin Del Conte, editor-in-chief of CStore Decisions. “During our burning issue exchanges, young executives get the chance to discuss leadership topics with other emerging c-store leaders, gaining new connections and perspectives as they learn from the experiences of their peers. Participants often tell us that what makes these exchanges so valuable is the openness, candid sharing of ideas and often lasting friendships that emerge from the conversations.”
The event will continue with a keynote session from Wawa Director of Store Operations Jason Read, a closing celebration, exclusive guided store tours and more.
