The chain debuted five potato chip flavors across all of its locations.

Onvo has announced the launch of its first private label packaged snack products, featuring a proprietary line of kettle-cooked potato chips.

Expanding beyond its existing private label beverage offerings, the expansion brings “high-quality, locally made snacks directly to highway travelers and regional fans alike,” the retailer noted in a statement.

The new chip lineup is now available at Onvo travel plazas and convenience store locations across northeastern Pennsylvania and upstate New York.

Crafted locally in Pennsylvania, the chips come in four flavors: Classic Kettle Cooked, BBQ Waffle, Jalapeño Cheddar, Salt and Vinegar and Sour Cream and Onion.

“When you look at the convenience and travel plaza landscape, customers want high-quality, craveable private label options they can’t get anywhere else,” said Harman Aulakh, vice president of marketing at Onvo. “We wanted to build on that expectation and elevate the Onvo brand by creating something uniquely ours. Our guests aren’t only looking for a quick bite; they also want local flavor and exceptional value. Launching our own line of kettle chips lets us deliver a premium snack that strengthens our brand identity while keeping our commitment to Pennsylvania-made products at the forefront.”

To celebrate the launch, Onvo is rolling out affordable pricing and combo promotions for its customers, including an exclusive free loyalty reward, mix-and-match deals, roller grill combos and discounted meal upgrades.

A Period of Growth

Onvo’s expansion of its in-store offerings comes at a time when it is simultaneously growing its store network. Earlier this month, the chain announced the opening of its newest travel center, located in Mansfield, Pa. The site marked Onvo’s first location in Tioga County and its 42nd across Pennsylvania and New York, further expanding its footprint along one of Pennsylvania’s busiest travel corridors.

The new Mansfield Travel Plaza, according to an Onvo statement, is designed to serve area residents, commuters, professional drivers and the Mansfield University student community with a modern, convenience-first experience centered around premium fuel, fresh food and traveler-focused amenities.

The site features a Burger King, made-to-order food options, an expanded lineup of frozen and iced beverages, amenities for professional drivers and EV fast-charging capabilities.

“We’re excited to bring the Onvo experience to Mansfield and continue growing in communities across north-central Pennsylvania,” said Sonny Singh, co-founder of Onvo. “Today’s travelers expect more from a roadside stop, with better food, better convenience and amenities that fit the way people travel today. This location delivers on that while also creating a destination the local community can enjoy every day.”

Headquartered in Scranton, Pa., Onvo commemorated the opening in Mansfield with a festive public celebration featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony. To welcome the neighborhood, the plaza served up complimentary coffee and food samples throughout the day, giving Mansfield residents and students a firsthand taste of Onvo’s fresh approach to convenience.

Onvo also presented donations to the Tioga County Special Olympics and Richmond Township.

With a network of 42 travel plazas and convenience stores, 27 quick service and full-service restaurants and seven hotels, Onvo is “committed to delivering a travel experience that is always quick, always kind and always convenient,” its statement continued.
