Sheetz has been named to this year’s Best Workplaces in Retail List, an annual recognition from Fortune and Great Place to Work.
Ranking third nationally, this is Sheetz’s 11th straight year being named to the prominent workplace list, trailing only Wegmans and Target. Sheetz has ranked in the top 10 of this list each year it has appeared.
“Being recognized among the nation’s leading companies for creating a positive workplace culture for more than a decade is an honor we don’t take lightly,” said Travis Sheetz, president and CEO of Sheetz. “Our employees are at the heart of everything we do, representing our brand and making a difference in the communities we serve every day. We’re committed to creating an environment where our people feel valued, respected and empowered to build meaningful careers while living out our shared commitment to caring for others.”
According to the survey, 90% of Sheetz employees said it is a great place to work, compared with 57% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.
Sheetz’s inclusion in this year’s “Best Workplaces in Retail” list is the latest in a series of notable recognitions for the brand. Earlier this month, Sheetz ranked second nationally among convenience store chains in the American Customer Satisfaction Index.
In August, the chain was named to this year’s Companies that Care list by Great Place To Work and PEOPLE Magazine. This marked the fifth consecutive year, and sixth time in seven years, that Sheetz has been ranked on this prestigious national list.
Additionally in May, Sheetz was named a Top 10 Best Gas Station for Food by USA TODAY’s 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards.
In the last year, Great Place To Work surveyed companies representing a combined workforce of 7.3 million people in the U.S. and received 1.3 million survey responses. List rankings are determined by employee feedback, which Great Place To Work analyzes to evaluate how widely these experiences are shared throughout the organization.
