CStore Decisions’ Top 111 list of convenience retailers provides updated information about the c-store chains thriving in the industry. With newly updated information about store count, state count and major acquisitions now live, industry leaders can discover the status of their fellow retail chains.
Based on chain size, the list kept 7-Eleven in the No. 1 spot with over 12,700 stores in the U.S. Alimentation Couche-Tard, Casey’s, Murphy USA and BP America followed to round out the top five.
This year, major acquisitions have shifted placements. For instance, Anabi Oil’s purchase of Green Valley Grocery bumped the company up to No. 18 on the list. Parkland Corp., once with over 850 total stores, has been removed from the list; Sunoco acquired the chain, growing from a 76-store chain to a robust 329-company-operated-store chain, helped by additional acquisitions this year.
Chains that have been newly added to the Top 111 this year include Albertsons Cos. (101 stores), Fast Stop Travel Centers (79 stores), U-Pak-It (73 stores), Mega Saver (73 stores), K&G Petroleum (70 stores) and Bosselman Enterprise’s Pump & Pantry (69 stores).
