The Queen of Country is breaking into the travel stop space with the announcement that Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop will officially open on June 24. The site will introduce “a travel experience built around the idea that every stop on the highway should feel a little more like home,” according to a statement from the company.
Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop will be located at exit 22 off of I-65 in Cornersville, Tenn. It will feature custom merchandise, barbecue, Dolly’s Cup of Ambition Coffee and a full-service cafe and restaurant.
Additionally, the travel stop will feature an original, commissioned mural to serve as “a permanent love letter to Cornersville, Tenn., making this flagship location one-of-a-kind,” the statement continued. A tour bus inspired by the one Dolly has traveled in for years will also be on-site.
“A true gathering place for both travelers and the local community, the travel stop is the first of many planned locations, born from the partnership between global superstar Dolly Parton and her manager Danny Nozell, and Gregory H. Sachs, who has owned and operated the trusted Tennessean Travel Stop brand since 2017,” the company wrote. “Inspired by Dolly’s lifelong connection to the open road, from her childhood in the hills of east Tennessee to decades spent touring the world by bus, the venture reimagines what a roadside stop can be.”
The chain is also calling on local musicians to perform for the grand opening ceremony.
“Live music is at the heart of what we’re building at Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop, and we want to fill that stage with Tennessee talent,” the statement read.
A large-scale grand opening ceremony will take place soon, with additional details coming in the next few weeks. The first location will serve as a proof of concept and flagship for future locations planned under the Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop brand. Additional locations across Tennessee and beyond are set to be announced later this year.

The Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop project was first announced in December 2025.
“I have spent the bulk of my life on the road, and more specifically on a bus,” said Parton in December. “All the years spent visiting greasy spoon cafes, truck stops and roadside pit stops have given me an understanding of what traveler’s desire on the road. Whether you are driving a truck, a bus or a car, you want a place that feels like home and recharges you for the rest of your journey. I believe we will fill a void out there on the highways, all while bringing the heart and soul of Tennessee.”
Parton teamed up with Tennesseean Travel Stop to rebrand its flagship store, “bringing fresh energy for families and truckers, new jobs for local communities and bold expansion plans across Tennessee and beyond,” Parton’s website read.
“The Tennessean has long been a ‘home away from home’ for truck drivers, travelers and locals alike. Our roots in this community run deep — we’ve created jobs, built connection and welcomed generations of people through our doors,” said Gregory H. Sachs, chairman and CEO of the Tennessean Travel Stop and Sachs Capital Group. “This new partnership allows us to carry that legacy forward in a way that celebrates everything special about Tennessee.”
