Faville will oversee marketing and category management in the new role.

Stewart’s Shops has announced that Ryan Faville was recently promoted to vice president of marketing and category management. The promotion was approved during the company’s third-quarter board of directors’ meeting on Oct. 23.

Faville joined Stewart’s Shops as an accountant at the company’s dairy and distribution center in May 2008, shortly after graduating from Siena University with a degree in accounting.

Five years later, he was promoted to manage the hauling department where he led the teams who distribute milk, gas and products to what was then a chain of more than 300 convenience stores across upstate New York and western Vermont. To gain a better understanding of the responsibilities of his team, Faville earned his Class A commercial driver’s license.

“I learned pretty early in my career that if you are not uncomfortable, you are not growing, so I have always tried to embrace change whenever it comes along,” Faville said.

Faville has managed Stewart’s purchasing and category management teams since 2015. As vice president, he will oversee marketing and category management teams with a focus on expanding the Stewart’s brand while identifying opportunities to enhance offerings.

“Ryan has been an important part of the Stewart’s team since he joined us right out of college,” said Stewart’s Shops President Chad Kiesow. “We have every confidence he will help Stewart’s continue to grow as we expand our footprint and respond to the ever-changing needs and shopping habits of the communities we serve.”

Stewart’s is a family- and employee-owned chain of convenience stores with 400 shops located across upstate New York, Vermont and western New Hampshire.
