The new partnership will feature game-day promotions, NIL activations and enhanced visibility for the chain.

Pennsylvania-based Onvo has announced an expansion of its partnership with Penn State University to become the “Official Convenience Store” of Penn State Athletics.

The partnership includes in-stadium visual elements, promotional ownership of Penn State field goals and extra points, game entitlement and a parking pass sponsorship for football. In addition, Onvo will receive game entitlement for the Women’s Volleyball Breast Cancer Game and sponsorship of Penn State Wrestling’s BJC Dual at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Additional promotions include 20 cents off a gallon of gas the day following each Penn State Football win, and on-site block party activations at select home games.

Onvo will also leverage the NIL of Penn State student-athletes for increased visibility on digital channels.

“Penn State Athletics has been a great partner to us over the past two years, and we’re excited to expand our relationship with this new designation,” said Harman Aulakh, VP of marketing at Onvo. “As a family-owned business that was founded here in Pennsylvania, expanding our partnership with Penn State is a great way to have some fun with a brand that deeply resonates with our guests and allows us to develop innovative promotions that will get more fans into our stores.”

“Our growing partnership with Onvo reflects the strength of the relationships we’ve built and our shared commitment to creating meaningful connections with Penn State fans,” said Daniel Solomon, vice president, corporate partnerships at Penn State Sports Enterprises. “Expanding our collaboration is a testament to the value and visibility we strive to deliver for our partners and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead. Onvo’s creative, energetic brand is a natural fit for our passionate fanbase and we’re looking forward to bringing fresh, engaging experiences to life together while continuing to grow this category.”

Partnering For Success

Onvo continues to leverage strategic partnerships to enhance its offerings and brand visibility. Earlier this month, the retailer teamed up with ChargePoint to deploy ultra-fast EV charging stations at its travel plazas across the northeastern U.S.

The initial planned rollout, according to a statement from the companies, included 12 Onvo locations in Pennsylvania and New York, each featuring ChargePoint Express Plus fast charging stations.

Strategically located near major highways, the Onvo sites are designed to serve drivers during longer trips, helping address gaps in available fast charging infrastructure, the statement continued.

“Partnering with ChargePoint allows us to best serve all drivers needing to charge their vehicles along our nation’s highways,” said Aulakh at the time. “As more drivers make the switch to electric vehicles, we are proud to offer convenient, high-performance charging at Onvo locations across our footprint.”

“ChargePoint’s collaboration with Onvo highlights our commitment to ultra-fast charging infrastructure at locations that offer driver amenities,” said Rick Wilmer, CEO of ChargePoint. “By enabling fast, reliable charging at highway rest stops, we are making long-distance EV travel seamless and accessible.”

ChargePoint Express Plus enables simultaneous vehicle charging from a single system, is engineered to deliver sustained high-power output and allows drivers to charge efficiently as a result.
