Openings On The Horizon

Royal Farms has made significant progress on the expansion of its store network as it continues to break into new markets and bolster its presence in existing ones. In just the past two months, the chain has announced new locations in Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina.

Next up on the grand opening schedule is Pennsylvania, with a new Shamokin Dam, Pa., site set to open its doors on Aug. 3.

Royal Farms hosted its soft opening event on July 29 and 30, giving the Shamokin Dam community an opportunity to experience the store’s offerings first-hand.

“We’re excited to bring Royal Farms to Shamokin Dam and introduce more Pennsylvanians to the fresh food, convenience and service that make our brand unique,” said Ricki Ettinger at the time, district leader at Royal Farms. “We look forward to becoming part of the community and serving our guests around the clock.”

Pennsylvania has been a key market in Royal Farms’ aggressive growth strategy. In early June, the chain announced the opening of a new location in Conshohocken, Pa., with a soft opening event taking place June 24 and 25.

“This new Conshohocken location allows us to better serve Montgomery County with the quality, speed and consistency Royal Farms is known for,” said Melanie Clements at the time, district leader at Royal Farms. “We’re excited to open our doors and welcome the community in.”

Just two weeks prior to this opening, the retailer announced that it would unveil another new location in its home state of Maryland, located in Harwood. The grand opening for the site took place on June 10 and 11.

“There’s a unique pride that comes with expanding in the state where we started. We’re looking forward to serving up our signature chicken and fries with the same homegrown hospitality Marylanders have trusted for decades,” said Steve Rymer, district leader at Royal Farms.

Today, Royal Farms operates more than 300 locations across the U.S. Stay tuned for more expansion updates.
