Stewart’s Shops has announced its highly anticipated holiday ice cream flavors, with four classics returning for the season: Spumoni, Sugar Cookie, Peppermint Stick and Eggnog ice cream.
“Whether you’re stocking the freezer for holiday gatherings or treating yourself to a scoop, there’s a flavor to make your season merry and bright,” Stewart’s wrote in a statement.
The Spumoni Ice Cream has three layers featuring chocolate, cherry and pistachio ice cream flavors.
“Whether you like it by the scoop or by the slice, you can enjoy all of these nostalgic flavors in one bite,” the statement continued.
Sugar Cookie Ice Cream is also returning with cookie dough pieces and rainbow sprinkles. The variety is available in pints.
A long-time staple, Peppermint Stick Ice Cream hits shelves with red and green crushed mint candies and peppermint flavored ice cream, available in half gallons.
“Not only can you enjoy Peppermint Stick ice cream in half gallons, you can also enjoy it at the ice cream counter in a dish, sundae or cone,” the statement read. “Plus, Peppermint Stick ice cream is the secret ingredient of our fan favorite Stewart’s Candy Cane Milkshake, coming mid-November to the ice cream counter.”
Finally, Eggnog Ice Cream returns in a half gallon or a pint, starting today.
Stewart’s operates 400 shops across upstate New York, Vermont and western New Hampshire.
Ice Cream Accolades
Stewart’s ice cream has been recognized among the best in North America. Earlier this month, the retailer won first place awards for its Chocolate Dairy Shake and Mango Dragon Fruit Sherbet at the 2026 World Dairy Expo in Wisconsin.
The Chocolate Dairy Shake secured the top spot in the open class flavored milk competition, while the Mango Dragon Fruit won the sherbet category.
Stewart’s also placed second for its French Vanilla, Chocolate and Raspberry Fudge Torte offerings.
Additionally, the chain won third place for Bark in the Dark in Dark Chocolate ice cream, Mint Cookie Crumble in Mint ice cream, Adirondack Bear Paw in Open Class with Nuts and Mousse Trail in Open Class ice cream.
“These awards are a true honor and a testament to the skill, dedication and hard work of the local, family-run farms that supply our milk,” Stewart’s wrote at the time. “We’re also grateful for our partners, whose commitment to quality helps bring delicious, high-quality milk and ice cream to Stewart’s customers every day.”
The World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest brought together some of the best dairy products and producers from across North America.
“With more than 1,200 entries competing in 2026, earning nine awards, including two first-place finishes, is an incredible honor that reflects the quality and care that goes into every Stewart’s dairy product,” the statement concluded.
