The Gas Spot has announced the launch of The G Club, its new loyalty program and mobile app powered by Velocity Logic Group’s (VLG) Loyalty Cloud. The program gives Gas Spot customers rewards on fuel and in-store purchases, personalized offers and order-ahead capabilities.
The Gas Spot is a woman-led convenience brand with locations in Davenport and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and in rural communities around Kansas City, Mo., and across Arkansas and Texas. Known for its bold “G” branding, fresh food and stores designed as local gathering places, the brand has grown quickly.
As it grows, The G Club gives The Gas Spot a direct way to reward regulars, welcome new customers and stay connected beyond the store.
“We want to be a reliable partner in our customers’ daily lives, and The G Club takes that from our stores to their phones,” said Tiffany Fraley, CEO of The Gas Spot. “With VLG, we can thank our regulars, welcome new customers and give everyone more reasons to stop in.”
“The Gas Spot is one of the most exciting brands in convenience right now, and we’re proud to power their loyalty program and app,” said Vik Mehta, Head of Business at Velocity Logic Group. “Tiffany and her team know their customers and their communities. The G Club gives them the tools to reward those customers every visit and grow with them.”
At the same time, The Kent Companies announced today that it has joined VLG’s Pay with Points network. Kent Kwik customers can now use the rewards points they already earn with participating banks and card issuers as an instant discount on fuel. Pay with Points is live, and Kent will expand it across its network over the coming months.
By joining Pay with Points, Kent gains access to VLG’s growing network of bank, card issuer and fintech rewards programs. Members of those programs can redeem their points at Kent Chevron sites, bringing Kent new customers and giving existing shoppers another reason to fill up there.
Pay with Points works whether customers pay at the pump or inside the store, on the latest Verifone point-of-sale software. Kent is turning on Pay with Points site by site as it upgrades locations across its network, with VLG supporting the rollout alongside Kent’s team.
“We’re excited to welcome the Kent team to Pay with Points,” said Mehta. “Kent has been a great partner through launch, and every site they bring on gives their customers a new way to save and gives our bank partners’ members more places to redeem. We look forward to growing this with Kent across their network.”
