Parker’s Kitchen recently donated $100,000 to support Augusta, Ga.-area public schools and help reduce food insecurity across the region
Parker’s Kitchen Founder and Executive Chairman Greg Parker presented a total of $60,000 in Fueling the Community donations to Superintendents from Richmond County School System, Columbia County School District and Aiken County Public Schools at the Rotary Club of Augusta luncheon at Enterprise Mill in Augusta.
The company donates a portion of all gas sold on the first Wednesday of each month to area schools through the Fueling the Community Program. Since the program’s inception in 2011, Parker’s Kitchen has raised more than $3.5 million to support education in communities the company serves.
In addition, Parker’s Kitchen donated $40,000 to Golden Harvest Food Bank to help reduce food insecurity for Central Savannah River Area (CRSA) residents, presenting a donation from the company’s recent round-up campaign, which supports food banks across Georgia and South Carolina. The company matched 25% of every customer donation to amplify the impact of the round-up campaign.
“At Parker’s Kitchen, we want to be a great neighbor and to support the causes that matter most to our customers across the CRSA community,” said Greg Parker. “When you shop at Parker’s Kitchen, you know your money is staying local and helping to make a positive impact right here in Augusta.”
Parker’s Kitchen owns and operates 115 stores across Georgia and South Carolina and is currently expanding into new markets, including Jacksonville, Fla.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and Columbia, S.C.
Last week, the chain announced plans to open its first Florida store in late October in Yulee, Fla., near Jacksonville.
The chain also recently opened new locations in north Myrtle Beach and Lexington, S.C.
“We’re thrilled to accelerate our robust growth plans by opening new stores in exciting new markets and meeting the needs of customers across the Southeast,” said Parker last week. “We’re committed to elevating what customers can expect from a convenience store and to being a great partner in the communities we serve.”
The chain plans to open a “record number of stores” in 2027, according to a recent statement.
“Entering Florida represents an important step in Parker’s Kitchen’s long-term growth strategy,” said Parker’s Kitchen CEO John Rudolfs at the time. “As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’re continuing to build on a strong foundation by expanding into markets where we see meaningful opportunities for growth. North Florida is a natural extension of our footprint, and we look forward to introducing Parker’s Kitchen to a new group of customers while delivering the quality, service and value that have driven our success for five decades.”
The Parker’s Kitchen store in Yulee, Fla. is expected to open in late October and is located at 75970 William Burgess Blvd., near the intersection of I-95 and Hwy. 200. Six Florida sites are expected to be under construction in the first quarter of 2027, with more to follow. The company’s goal is to open 12 new retail stores in Florida before the end of 2027, including one truck stop, as part of its dynamic growth strategy.
The new store in north Myrtle Beach, S.C., opened in early July and is the first Parker’s to serve customers in the city. The company also operates two stores in Little River, S.C., and plans to open additional stores in the Grand Strand area.
The Parker’s Kitchen in Lexington, S.C., opened its doors in early September and is the company’s first retail store in the metro Columbia, S.C., market. The new store is situated near Lake Murray State Park and serves customers in Lexington as well as west Columbia. The company plans to open additional new stores in the Columbia market to meet the growing needs of customers across the region.
