Manley’s Mighty Mart has just gotten a little mightier. The Binghamton, N.Y.-based chain made a goal to double the amount of stores it operated–totaling at 18 at the time–within five to seven years. The chain has been steadily on track with that plan, opening
four more stores this year alone, according to the Press & Sun-Bulletin.
The chain, currently totaling at operational 22 stores, plans to boost that number to 24 within coming months. The momentum hasn’t stopped there for the company, according to the Sun-Bulletin. Anthony Manley, owner of the chain, was recently honored by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce as their Small Business Person of the Year.
Despite the growth and the honors, Manley still credits the success to people who have helped him along the way.
“You could have the biggest, prettiest buildings and the best merchandise in the world, but if you don’t have the people to take care of it, and the customers coming in, there is no business,” he told the paper.
