Named fourth in state’s list of Top 100 Private Companies, up one spot from 2006.
Rutter’s Holdings Inc. moved up to fourth on the Central Penn Business Journal’s annual list of the Top 100 Privately Held Companies in central Pennsylvania. The list, featured in the weekly
newspaper’s Aug. 3 issue, ranked companies based on their 2006 revenue.
Rutter’s Holdings–the parent company of Rutter’s Farm Stores, Rutter’s Dairy and real estate holding company M&G Realty–ranked fifth on the 2006 list. Rutter’s Holdings also posted the second-largest revenue increase, a $90 million gain from 2005 to 2006.
The York, Pa.-based Rutter’s companies employ more than 1,000 people in central Pennsylvania. The company has been family-owned and privately operated since its inception in 1921.
