Atlas Oil Co. will acquire 23 BP retail sites in Indiana, as well as operate a number of sites on the Indiana Toll Road, Crains News Service reported.
The deal, scheduled to close this fall, includes a number of retail locations owned by BP and several dealer-supplied sites, Crains reported.
As part of the transaction, Atlas will convert a number of its retail sites to BP’s ampm franchise, which was recently introduced to the Chicago and Atlanta areas. Atlas will operate the sites from its South Bend, Ind., headquarters.
“Utilizing BP’s fuel brand and the ampm franchise program will allow Atlas to further build upon our reputation in the marketing areas in which we supply and operate,” Atlas Oil CEO Sam Simon said in a press release.
Atlas currently distributes petroleum products and services in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia, Florida and Minnesota.
