Ricker Oil Company Inc., of Anderson, Ind., said it has expanded its existing agreement for KSS Inc’s PriceNet fuel price management system, and will roll out the solution to 24 recently acquired retail locations.
“We’ve used PriceNet since 2006, and it has proven a very valuable tool for day-to-day fuel price management and optimization,” said Dennis Williamson, general manager at Ricker Oil. “When we acquired 24 additional stores, expanding our partnership with KSS was an easy and necessary decision, so we could seamlessly maintain and expand our centralized price management operations.”
Ricker Oil recently acquired 24 BP stores, adding to the nearly 30 Ricker c-stores the company operates in Indiana. Most of the 24 new stores will remain ampm-branded, according to Jay Ricker, owner of the chain.
PriceNet is a comprehensive pricing solution that supports the key tasks and stakeholders involved in retail fuels pricing, from capturing field-based intelligence at the site level to the generation of price proposals, via comprehensive pricing rules or price optimization, to consistent and timely implementation.
High levels of automation and an ‘exception-based’ approach ensure a rapid response to competitors and market conditions and allow pricing analysts to leverage the power of pricing analytics.
“Ricker Oil has been a long-standing partner, and we’re eager to help them continue their company growth,” said Bob Stein, KSS chief executive officer and president. “Our PriceNet solution will help Ricker’s quickly evaluate the competitive pricing landscape for each store, make informed pricing decisions and swiftly implement new prices.”
The Ricker Oil and KSS partnership began in early 2006 when Ricker selected and installed KSS’ PriceNet software. The companies expanded their partnership in 2007 when Ricker Oil deployed KSS’ PriceNet Mobile, enabling mobile price management across the chain.
