Shell is once again taking part in one of the largest and most successful marketing promotions in McDonald’s history-MONOPOLY.

Consumers will receive a game piece with the purchase of select McDonald’s menu items. Each game piece includes a Game Code to be entered online at the MONOPOLY 2009 Game on McDonald’s Web site (PlayatMcD.com) for an opportunity to roll virtual dice.

Players who land on “Free Parking” will have a chance to win free Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasoline. Between Oct. 6 and Nov. 16, more than 4,000 lucky players can win a $50 Shell Gift Card-that’s one available every 15 minutes. This equals more than $200,000 in free Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasoline. Additionally, Shell is participating in the in-store MONOPOLY game at McDonald’s by providing $500 Shell Gift Cards to 50 lucky instant winners. The in-store game runs Oct. 6- through Nov.2

There’s no purchase necessary to play. In New Jersey, Virginia and areas where Shell fuel is not available, the prize may be awarded as a $50 pre-paid Master Card.
